The phrase “needle in the haystack” suggests that there is always more hay than needles. But this does not mean that needles are not present in abundance or that you wont be able to find them. The true picture reflected by the universe is that there is always unlimited abundance that allows unlimited potential for success and personal advancement in spiritual and material wealth for all of us. In order to attract these positive influences we have to create space for those influences to be apparent. The simplest way for us to do this is to reorganize our internal world, the world of the mind and in turn our external world, the world of the physical. We should always bear in mind that our thought content influences the material world and similarly our surroundings have considerable influence in our lives. There is a constant dynamic between thought and the material world; thoughts are indeed things and in turn things represent thought. Physical objects in their inanimate state have unique unseen influence on us. Nevertheless it is possible to create a new vibrant state of mind by removing the clutter and confusion from our lives. This encourages harmony, which will eventually be reflected in our thinking and lead ultimately to our success. In order to see the needles you have to clear the hay and remove confusion and disorder from your life or intentionally reorganize your surroundings by just rearranging things to give yourself a new look. The space created allows an appreciation of order and allows new thinking to replace old and established practice. It encourages the element of renewal. Meditation achieves the same results by creating space and allowing the natural, healing and enriching benefits of the universe to permeate our entire being. It creates a new freedom and this new void allows the energy of the universe to enter this space and fill it. So in order to find that elusive needle in a haystack, that brilliant idea, that new start, you will first have to put your life in order. First, take a look at yourself and your surroundings. If there is too much disorder around, clear it all up. Introduce beauty into your immediate surrounds by using art, floral arrangement, plants, an aquarium or any item that resonates with your spirit. Throw away those things that are not working or have ceased to have any useful value or function. Leave just the bare minimum of items on your desk and in your immediate work area. Concentrate only on the essentials at hand, the positive things that you want to do and the direction that you want to take and most of all find some quiet time to meditate and clear the accumulated hodgepodge of half-finished ideas in your mind. Once you do these things you will be surprised maybe immediately of the change that will take place. Try it!
