Yes this is quite possible. The best way to do this is by keeping positive ideals in mind at all times and constantly reinforcing them by the process of affirmation until this new way of thinking becomes habitual. A traditional and proven way of doing this is to create a mantra or list of positive affirmations, which are repeated on a regular basis. For further reinforcement these positive thoughts should be written down and spoken aloud each day. This process will eventually remove all the negative chatter that clouds the day-to-day thinking of many people. The long-term benefit is that the mind begins to focus on new patterns of thought which is similar to learning a language. Excluding all the negative influences in ones life is an additional step that will reap many rewards. You can start by adopting a number of new resolutions. Stop associating with people who say derogatory things about others. Stop listening to unsavoury gossip and this goes for ninety percent of all the news that you hear. Always have a new goal in sight. It will keep you headed in the right direction and firmly rooted in the present. Don’t worry about the bumps in the road and remember the aim of the journey is transportation from one place to the other and not the nuances of the medium that you use to get to your destination. Recognize when a journey has ended and be aware that another journey has already begun. Keep an eye open for the signs along the way, they are always present and the more you look for them the more you will see. Every turn in the road will have its own scenery where each of the items that you encounter will have meaning. Try to determine the meaning of all the things around you; they are all there for a reason. If the picture created by your present circumstances seems absurd it certainly is. In order to correct this state of confusion remove the things that are out of place or change your direction. You will always be able to create an environment where the pieces fit. When you do this you will be closer to achieving happiness.
