When did you start to change? Did you notice? It happened when you began to yearn for something different. You consciously, or subconsciously put your mind in a new place and subtly began to change your thoughts. It happened almost imperceptibly and it may even be happening now. By yearning for something new or different, you are in effect saying that you would like a change of direction or scenery and you are demonstrating dissatisfaction with your present state, whatever it may be. You would really like to be somewhere else. Once you begin to adopt this type of thinking you will have created a void which will set in motion a series of new events which will be attracted to that void in order to fill it. Within a moment you are different and you are changed, maybe forever. During your life you will have moments where these changes take place and usually they are readily identifiable. Sometimes an individual can be inspired to greatness and take on a cause so large so colossal that it immortalizes the individual and raises them up to iconic status. For the majority of people these changes are natural and gradual and are a part of a growing sense of maturity that is common to all. You can begin a process of change by taking a look at yourself and examining your journey through life up to the present and you will see clearly when you began to change. If you are concerned about your present direction, with careful retrospection you will be able to identify that turning point. It may be a decision that you should not have taken but it inevitably changed your path and literally made you into a new person and positioned you on a new path. But do not fear. It is quite possible to get back on track; to remove those negative feelings and to change those unwanted characteristics that you may have developed. You can leave them behind by simply turning your back on them. Literally, just walk away and re-enter the arena of goodness and virtue. You can consciously by affirmation of positive goals and ideals initiate changes in yourself which will make you become the good “self” that you know was always just below the surface. This is very heartening, because it is clearly indicating that no one and no situation is irredeemable. The natural order of the universe is growth. All you need to do is to seek the right balance; it will be like turning night to day.
