We all tend to personalize life so much. When you look with your eyes you do not see your face: you see others, you see every face except your own. Look outwards not inwards so that you can seek the things that are alive around you. There is always life and there are always things that are growing or are able to grow. A single blade of grass in a beautiful green lawn may be green or it may be brown. It may be growing or it may not be alive at all; but the beautiful lawn is still beautiful; it is alive. It is not affected by the state of a single blade of grass. If you really want to see the pleasant side of the picture believe that it is there and then look for it. A single bad experience is never the whole picture. If this were so nothing would be growing and everything would soon come to a complete halt: and we know that will never happen.
